Upon arrival you will be greeted by one of our trained staff to show you where to park. You will be able to see the horses as you arrive in our driveway. They will be either straight ahead of you or on your right as you pull in. Our equine are all different breeds and vary in size. We will be with you as you approach the Pasture to introduce you to each and every one of them. One of our staff handlers will then bring out one equine at a time for you to meet in person. After a period of time with the equine you are invited to let us take you on a guided tour of our property. It is not uncommon to see wildlife on these outings such as deer, rabbits, squirrels and many types of birds, including at least three sets of Cardinals. We have a pond that is being developed for fishing but has a lot of work to be done on it yet. There are places around the property where we can just sit and talk about military issues or your experiences from the military. Our founder loves to share his stories and learn about other Veterans experiences as well. A light meal will be provided at some point throughout the day. If there are any allergies we need to have that information supplied when you fill out our application to visit. Finally, once you visit us you may want to return as a volunteer. If this something you desire we will take time to discuss it with you while you fully. |
